City officials urge federal grant application reform

City officials are calling for reforms to the federal grant application process, which they describe as overly complicated and time-consuming. They recommend improvements through better preparation, strategic planning, and relationship-building with grant agencies.

The “mind-numbing” grant application process could be improved through preparation, intention and building connections, city leaders said during a National League of Cities panel.
